Mouth Myths
EASING TEETHING PAIN
- Let the child suck or chew on a clean, cold facecloth
- Use a teething ring. They should be cold, not frozen. Wash them often using warm, soapy water.
- Massage the child's gums using a clean finger.
- Avoid teething biscuits as they are high in sugar and may lead to cavities.
- Avoid teething gels which may cause an allergic reaction or cause chocking by making the throat numb.
